Learn about the art of making fire without the use of matches, using two different techniques - the bow drill and flint and steel.
The art of making friction fire teaches participants where and how to properly harvest fire starting materials from the landscape. From these materials workshop participants will learn how to create a tinder bundle and their own bow drill kit using natural materials from the environment. Together we will build and create a central fire where we will share stories and a wild-inspired snack prepared over the fire.
